Construction firms' order intake stood at Rs 13,730 crore between June 16 and June 30, out of which Larsen & Toubro accounted for contracts with a cumulative value of Rs 5,500 crore.The brokerage firm said of the total order intake in the first fortnight of the current month, the lion's share went to Pratibha Industries, which bagged two orders worth Rs 1,249 crore from the Delhi Jal Board along with joint venture partner Mosinzhstroi Open Joint Stock Company.
Under the contracts, Pratibha will design, construct and lay interceptor sewers along three major drains in the national capital.Meanwhile, Pune-based wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy received a Rs 650 crore order for supplying 100-MW turbines to Orient Green Power.
