AmpIn Energy Transition on Friday said it will have a significant impact on India's energy landscape in the eastern region with a groundbreaking investment of Rs 3,100 crore.
The investments are intended to establish renewable energy (RE) projects of more than 600 megawatts (MW) and an integrated manufacturing facility for solar cells and modules, the report said.
Major investments are planned in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and the northeastern states. The investment reflects AmpIn Energy Transition's commitment to accelerating the transition to renewable energy and the adoption of clean energy solutions in the eastern region, the company added.
In the region, the company has the largest open access solar portfolio of approximately 200 MWp, the largest utility PPA with CESC for a wind-solar hybrid project of 250 MWp and the largest behind-the-meter industrial solar project of 10.5 MW for an industrial plant. customer.
With its diversified portfolio of assets, AmpIn helps customers save approximately 25 to 40 percent on their energy costs and also helps significantly reduce their carbon footprint. The company, through its projects, serves important clients in the region in sectors such as cement and steel, IT and data centers, heavy engineering, consumer goods, utilities, etc., AmpIn said.
The integrated solar cell and module manufacturing capacity the company is establishing in the region would strengthen the push for renewable energy sources, said Pinaki Bhattacharyya, managing director and CEO of AmpIn Energy Transition.
AmpIn is also setting up a 1.3 gigawatt (GW) state-of-the-art solar manufacturing facility in Odisha. This facility is set to play a crucial role in advancing the country's solar energy ambitions and self-reliance.
