Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city of New Delhi lies a sprawling 12,000 square meter farmhouse called The Palladio, which infuses the rich architectural history with a touch of modernity through design and décor interventions. The project includes four extravagant bedrooms, palatial living rooms and an exclusive gym on the terrace floor.
The presentation of this farm project promises to be an architectural triumph, combining the grandeur of the neoclassical odyssey with a contemporary touch. Three Ionic columns take center stage and increase the visual weight that radiates dynamism. With its imposing façade, this palatial home redefines timeless luxury.
Along with the manicured landscaping, a pool serves not only as a recreational element, but also as a design feature that enhances the property's appeal. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a tranquil and picturesque setting for relaxation and leisure.
Upon entering, a feeling of splendor and grandeur envelops your senses. The designers express their intention: “Our goal was a spacious country house. Following Vastu principles, this project maximizes north-facing light to maintain open and ventilated volumes. While the spaces remain light and airy, the floor acts as a canvas.” Each floor features classic, stylish and versatile checkered floors. While a custom-made 2.5 meter chandelier adorns the double-height living room, gold tapestries add optimal luxury to the space.
The interiors, conceived by Leena Monga, complement the exterior with their rich materiality, while taking the decoration to the next level to create as many interesting moments as possible in the space. Large windows that connect the interior with the exterior give the space a feeling of serenity for its residents. The custom designed railing details of the central double staircase add opulence to the project and are inspired by the Art Deco style.
The gentle curves, ornate details, and intricate moldings of French design are used to create the master bedroom design. Predominantly gray with silver tones, the room has a sleek and minimalist setup. Featuring blue and yellow accents on a gray background, the son's bedroom is enhanced with a quirky custom rug, throw pillows, and charming accent pieces. Drenched in colors but maintaining delicacy, is the daughter's room. With a four-poster bed, a corner play area, and upholstered furniture, the room is bathed in natural light. The guest room is decorated in beige and taupe tones. A touch of rust color, provided by the armchairs, creates a feeling of balance and harmony. The wall moldings that have been created throughout the house also continue their trail in this room.
The defining character of The Palladio is its contemporary appearance: neoclassical elements fused with modernity, where classic attributes such as iconic columns and symmetrical shapes coexist harmoniously with large windows and innovative materials. The result is a retreat that exudes timeless charm, with luxurious nooks and decorative details that will help you journey to an era of grand living.
