Indore is the cleanest city in India for the sixth year in a row. The processing of 1,900 tons of municipal waste per day, which earns crores from rupees and also feeds its buses, helps build pride in the city. Indore develops a digital addressing system and accelerates its fight against illegal structures. It also promises to issue building permits within 72 hours.
But has all this helped to boost property prices? Apparently so. Property registrations are 40% higher compared to the previous year. Almost 200 real estate projects worth more than Rs 3,000 cr are awaiting sanctions and various approvals from the local authorities and from the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) in Indore.
