In order to start the Airport Metro Rail earthworks early and to speed up the preparatory works, Hyderabad Airport Metro Ltd (HAML) has decided to start a number of activities in parallel.
It has engaged two survey teams to collect ground data for finalization of the alignment. The data will be crucial for determining the location of subway pillars and stations, their heights, the profile of the viaduct, etc., according to a HAML press release.
HAML Director N V S Reddy and a team of senior engineers inspected the Airport Metro route from Raidurg Metro Station to Narsingi Junction on Sunday. NVS Reddy ran the entire length of approximately 10 km and has provided several guidance to HAML engineers and the research teams, including station locations, facilities, combining the extended Blue Line new terminal station and the Airport Metro station, and the availability provision of the airport metro to less wealthy citizens for, among other things, commuting.
HAML chief electrical engineer D V S Raju, chief project manager B Anand Mohan, general managers M Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Rajendra Prasad Naik and senior engineers participated in the inspection.
