Sterlite Power has acquired Kishtwar Transmission, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) from PFC Consulting (PFCCL). PFCCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a public company in Maharatna. The project was awarded to Sterlite Power in March 2022 through a rate-based competitive bidding process (TBCB). Through the Kishtwar Transmission SPV, the company will build, own, operate and maintain a critical transmission project in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) for a period of time. of 35 years.
The project includes a 400/132 kV GIS substation in Kishtwar and a 400 kV Kishenpur-Dulhasti LILO (Line in Line out) transmission line. The transmission system will be used for the evacuation of 1000 MW of power from the Pakaldul Hydro Electric Project to the Kishtwar substation.
