The Delhi Meerut Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) is under construction at full speed. At the construction site for the Anand Vihar RRTS project, Vinay Kumar Singh, MD of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), promised that people would soon have a chance to ride India's first high-speed train.
They witnessed many difficulties due to the COVID outbreak. But now that the hard times are over, NCRTC is eager to meet new goals on track.
17 km of the priority section of the RRTS will be made accessible to commuters after a successful trial and receipt of a NOC from another department.
Construction of Anand Vihar RRTS station, which Singh described as "one of the largest stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut line", is progressing rapidly, he said. The station will be built top-down, which means that the earthwork will be completed first and then the underground work.
