Kubota is launching new models of its commercial vehicles for 2023, including a limited-edition Stone Gray color for the Sidekick.
The Stone Gray model comes with a range of 16 accessories, all factory installed. These include premium roof and windshield, LED headlight upgrade and light bar, and an electric cargo box. It will also have a 4,500-pound WARN AXON winch.
The limited-edition model is expected to arrive at dealers in the first quarter of 2023. Kubota's standard 2023-model Sidekick will hit dealerships by the end of this year.
The new Sidekick gets a 54 hp Kubota-built petrol engine, a 6 hp boost over the previous model. It boasts 48 pound-feet of torque, which improves its climbing ability, RTV product specialist Andrew Pittard said at a recent Kubota Connect dealer event.
"This is built on a heavy platform, so they can really get the job done here," said Pittard. “They can drag; they can put a load in it.”
It can tow up to 2,000 pounds and has a payload of 1,000 pounds. It's also fast, up to 40 mph, with improved throttle response. "The throttle has been redesigned, so it's much more comfortable," he said. "You can easily go 3 mph all day without leg cramps."
