Shriram Automall India (SAMIL), India's leading used vehicle and equipment marketplace, celebrated SAMIL Freedom Auction on August 13, 2022 by holding 100 auctions at 100 locations across India to give buyers the freedom to bid on their favorite used vehicles and equipment on the occasion of 75 years of Indian independence.
A wide range of used vehicles and equipment in all segments, such as cars, trucks, construction equipment, farm equipment, two-wheelers and three-wheelers, were available for acquisition and disposal under one roof.
More than 10,000 pre-owned vehicles and equipment and other assets from a full spectrum of consumer vendors, banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, OEMs and dealers, leasing, rental and aggregator companies, brokers, carriers and contractors were showcased and staged. For example, the Power of Choice company offered its customers to buy their favorite vehicles and equipment from a huge range of stocks.
The company provided a unique experience for both buyers and sellers, registering traffic of more than 15,000 customers in 100 Automalls from tier I, II and III cities across India in a single day.
During the SAMIL Freedom Auction, the company provided Phygital Solutions (Physical plus Digital) that integrated with new edge technologies such as Desktop Live Bidding and MySAMIL App with the aim of creating all-inclusive mobility solutions for buyers and sellers. Interested customers also participated in Live Streaming of auctions on the MySAMIL mobile app. This feature allowed customers to view the vehicles of their choice in real time at any ongoing auction across India.
Overall, SAMIL Freedom Auction 2022 achieved about Rs 100 crore in asset trades in one day.
