Two more models of the Yanmar Compact Equipment family of compact excavators have now been upgraded. The company says the ViO17-1E and ViO25-6B have been redesigned for greater operator comfort and ease of use.
Both mini excavators are best suited for housework, landscaping and small general construction projects. Yanmar says the ViO25-6B provides extra power and size for building maintenance projects, irrigation, plumbing pipelines and more. “Users will appreciate the enhanced features in this new generation of models,” said Jeff Pate, director of sales at Yanmar Compact Equipment North America. “From improved operator comfort and lighting to improved attachment coupling, the improvements make long days in the cab a little easier.”
Both models have a light footprint for minimal damage to soft, delicate surfaces in landscaping, residential and sculpture applications. The ViO17-1E offers an operating weight of 4,023 pounds and a 14.5 horsepower motor, while the ViO25-6B has an operating weight of 5,908 pounds and a 20.4 horsepower motor. Despite their small size, the models have a digging depth of 7 feet 7 inches for the ViO17-1E and 3 feet for the ViO25-6B.
The two excavators are designed with zero tail swing to protect the structure the excavator works next to and the machine itself in tight spaces.
The ViO17-1E has a retractable undercarriage that allows operators to hydraulically retract and extend the track, giving the machine easier access to narrow job sites.
Yanmar Compact Equipment will showcase the ViO17-1E at the Equip Exposition October 18-21 in Louisville, Kentucky.
