Kobelco has introduced the conventional hydraulic excavator SK260LC-11 with a torque increase of 23 percent compared to the previous model.
The machine weighs 60,200 pounds and has a bucket digging force of 42,000 pounds, a swinging torque of 63,300 pound-feet and a drawbar pull of 55,600 pounds.
To balance high performance, economy and low fuel consumption, the SK260LC-11 offers three working modes: Eco, S and H. When more power is required, the heavy lift and power boost capabilities (with unlimited time usage) can be used. along with an independent drive function that uses separate hydraulic pumps for attachment and travel to provide stable and smooth operation when lifting large objects. Performance and durability are enhanced by thick side panels and a larger bucket cylinder pin.
In addition to operator comfort, there is a spacious cab with a 7-way adjustable heated air suspension seat, ergonomic tiller handles, heating and air conditioning, a large 10-inch color monitor that displays important information including work mode, service intervals and fuel consumption, as well as providing a 270-degree view from the machine's standard three camera system, is built in.
The hydraulic flow modes of the bucket, breaker, nibbler and rotary grapple, as well as mode settings for other work tools such as a tilt rotator, are now fully adjustable by the operator via the monitor. The hydraulic pressure relief feature in the cab, according to Kobelco, makes it easy and safe to change attachments or hoses.
A radiator cleaning screen prevents larger debris from clogging the cooling fins, and a new hydraulic oil filter keeps foreign matter out of the oil tank while it is serviced.
Through Kobelco's KOMEXS (Kobelco Monitoring Excavator System) telematics, the machine's operational information such as hours, fuel consumption and maintenance status can be accessed remotely. Owners will have peace of mind with an engine start alarm, e-fence and current/past location history. According to Kobelco, the SK260LC-11 is just one of many new models to hit the North American market in 2022-2023.
