The new compact 36 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump from Liebherr offers attractive appearance and easy maneuverability on site in one package.
The 36 XXT, mounted on a three-axle chassis, carries a gross weight of approximately 28 tons, depending on equipment. No overhang at the rear of the boom improves maneuverability around construction sites and on roads.
The machine has a five-section boom with a folding height of 23.6 feet. The boom design and kinematics provide low vibrations and work even when pouring concrete. Good slip properties enable concreting in existing buildings on several floors.
The shape of the hopper promotes an even concrete flow and good suction behaviour. Two separately driven agitators push the concrete straight into the suction chamber, which works even with difficult-to-pump concrete types.
According to Liebherr, the XXT punch offers some advantages over other mounts. Boom loads are transferred by the shortest route to the contact spaces of the support legs, which pivot about the same axis of rotation. The narrow support functions offer multiple setting options.
For tight spaces, the front outrigger on the tight side can still be extended and supported right up to the front of the operator's cab, thanks to the swinging alternative, adding the whole working area in front of the cab. If both sides are narrowed, it is still possible to work above the cab. The XXT stability control system ensures safe working conditions and allows only non-critical movements. The safe work zone is displayed on the radio remote control, which allows sensitive boom movements and reveals all important parameters to the operator.
The 36 XXT also has a Powerbloc pump drive unit. This integrates all hydraulic switching and measuring components, which the company says eradicates numerous hydraulic hoses and other components.
