British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has inaugurated the Vadodra unit of British equipment manufacturer JCB.
The factory was established at an estimated investment of $127.66 million and will produce parts for the company's global production lines.
Prime Minister Johnson's visit to India will focus on increasing Indo-Pacific cooperation, boosting Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations between the two countries, as well as strengthening defense ties.
Prime Minister Johnson visited the Vadodra unit along with Chairman Anthony Paul Bamford.
With 11 factories in the UK employing more than 7,500 people, JCB began production in India in 1979 and is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment.
